Who said money can’t grow on trees? Okay, well maybe not literally in this case but close! Pachira Aquatica or Money tree plant is highly sought for its Feng shui effects believed to bring good luck and financial success to those who care for it.
Native to Central and South America, anyone would truly feel lucky owning this unique tropical plant that has a stumpy central trunk adorned with "lucky" 5 lobed leaf arrangements on top. This bonsai version will stay smaller and may grow up to 4-5 ft tall if given adequate room.
Place in an area of your home that is meaningful to you and bask in its energy.
When repotting your money tree, select a pot with a drainage hole that is one and half times bigger than the original pot using sandy, peat-moss-based soil. Wait for the beginning of spring to repot to help encourage root development.
Light: Med - Bright Indirect Light. Will tolerate lower light.
Water: When the top 3-4 inches of soil are dry, then water thoroughly. Discarding excess drained water. To increase humidity we suggest placing underneath the tree a pebble-filled tray and add water to partially cover the rocks.
Fertilize: Feed once a month from Spring-Summer.
