Nursery Associate - Outdoor Plants (Seasonal P/T)
** Hiring for Spring-Summer 2026 **
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about plants and enjoy working outdoors? We are looking for motivated, friendly Garden Center Associate to join our team for the Spring/Summer season. You’ll work anywhere between 16-30 hours per week, with shifts that can include weekends and holidays.
What You’ll Do:
- Receive plant deliveries, price, and display plants as scheduled
- Perform regular plant care - watering, fertilizing, deadheading
- Keep bench displays fully stocked and checking for accurate labels and signage.
- Provide customer assistance with plant selection, friendly recommendations and sharing useful plant care tips. Must be comfortable identifying different species to make sure everyone leaves with something great for their garden.
- Participate in our team brainstorming sessions to help meet sales goals and improve merchandising
What We're Looking For:
- 1–2 years' experience in horticulture or retail customer service
- Friendly, energetic and ability to assist customers promptly and respectfully
- Willingness to get your hands dirty is a big part of this job!
- Physically able to lift up to 20 lbs throughout the day
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
